The Garden
Guests are able to enjoy our garden with its terrace, lawn and gravelled paths.
There are sun loungers as well as seating on the terrace and benches in the garden. Croquet is available to play on the lawn as well as the fun family game, Mölkky. All of these services are subject to availability with other guests.
Tours of the kitchen garden are available on request.
The House
Armchairs are available in the bay window of the dining room and in the day room – both with a view of the garden. The snug has additional seating. A copy of The Times is available to read and board games and jigsaws are available on request.
The library includes a quarter size snooker table which guests may use during the day on request.
The upstairs landing has a desk for those who would like space to work quietly. Tours of the kitchen garden are available on request.
Eating
Breakfast is included with all bookings and is served in the dining room. You may help yourself to cereals, fruit, yoghurt and juice. Tea, coffee, hot toast and croissants can be brought to your table. A la carte options such as a full Yorkshire breakfast, Eggs Benedict or Avocado with Roast Tomato will be cooked to order.
Outwood House is conveniently located for local restaurants in Horsforth, including the Michelin rated Bavette – which was named the Best Local Restaurant 2024 in the Good Food Guide; The Forde – with Matt Healy a contestant from Professional MasterChef; two Italian restaurants Pranzo and il Forno plus a Miller & Carter steak house at the end of the lane.
If guests prefer to order a take-away, online providers such as Uber Eats will deliver from a range of local restaurants. Crockery and cutlery are provided in the dining room and we ask guests not to eat in the bedrooms.
We currently do not have an alcohol licence.
